- I was fortunate to take part in a set of meetings around mining and Aboriginal community impacts at a Innu hunting camp in the Mushuau-nipi region of Northern Quebec, about 1.5 hours north of Schefferville by float plane. According to the archeological records The site has been a caribou hunting and a fishing camp for 5000-7000 years! Now that's sustainability!

| | - FairTrade and Fair Mined Gold Launch
- oxymoron? not really... this is a project Laura has been working on for years. Supporting small scale local miners in Latin America, Africa and Asia to gain access to the minerals, protect the environment and to get a fair price while making their labour more safe. I am not a fan of gold, but I am a fan of fair wage for safe work that is locally controlled. This happened in London - the day after Laura turned 50 - very nice!!!
