- I am on a quest to learn how to braid my daughter's hair. I am starting out small, nothing to fancy because sister girl is tender headed. (She got from her momma!) - On August 20th, I will celebrate my 2nd year of being all natural! I am not getting bored, but it does seems like my hair routine is becoming more and more time consuming. The pre-poo treatments, the deep conditioning treatments, the steam treatments, the leave-in treatments ...etc. I can use an entire day just doing stuff for my hair!
Now me being the person that I am, I will be jumping on the Ayurvedic Hair Care bandwagon for the reminder of this year. I will start out using the Kapoor Kachli, Maka, Amla, and Brahmi Powders and the Vatika Coconut Hair Oil. I figured that since African American women are in such a rush to buy Remy Indian hair, why not use what they use on my hair?!

- I have picked up another addiction: makeup! At one point in time I was never interested in wearing makeup. I was doing something big if I put on some lip gloss! This album will be dedicated to my experimentation with homemade products for my face and makeup. Now the makeup that I am loving right now is Urban Decay and of course MAC.
I picked up a copy of Stephanie Tourles book Organic Body Care Recipes. She has a ton of recipes that I want to try. My plan is to use all natural products to clean my face. If I can not pronounce the ingredients used in a product, I will not be using it on my skin! So this means that I will be mixing my own stuff in my kitchen. It is amazing how going natural affects everything else in your life. I have become more aware of the various chemicals that should be no where near my skin, our largest organ! - I'm getting more excited about attending the Natural Hair Show in Atlanta April 10-11th. My hair is growing like a wild fire and I may be shoulder length before my 2nd Nappiversary. Now who told the lie that black people hair does not grow? You just have to pamper it and give it constant TLC! Time flies and I am in awe that I have been natural for 20 months. I'm just so Happy to be Nappy!
