1969 Buick GS Stage 1 4-speed
(May 16, 2009)
This is the most original 1969 Buick GS Stage 1 4-speed car I have ever seen. I just purchased it from the original owner, the lady who purchased it brand new. It was sold at Bill Yates Buick in Fort Smith, Arkansas and spent it's entire life in this area.

1969 Buick GS Stage 1 4-Speed Convertible
1 of 77 ever built and all-numbers matching. This is a factory non-A/C car with original motor, transmission, distributor, 3.64 Posi rear, Rally Ride and handling package with sway bars, Rally steering wheel, Tilt steering and consolette with factory bucket seats. The color is Cameo Cream with a black interior and convertible top. A frame-off restoration is underway on this rare car. These pictures were taken on June 22nd, 2009 and we began disassembly about 10 minutes after the photos were taken.

1970 AMC Rebel Machine 4-speed
This is my latest acquisition, a 1970 AMC Rebel Machine. This is an original, 61,000 mile, 4-speed Machine that is a rust-free, restored, all-matching and correct car. These cars featured the most powerful engine ever produced by American Motors Corporation, the 390 cubic-inch, 340 horsepower (according to many sources, this was underrated for insurance purposes and the actual output was probably closer to 375 horsepower or more) "Machine" engine. This motor featured many pieces that were unique to the Machine, such as the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. These items are very scarce today and, fortunately, my car still has it's original components. These cars would run low to mid-thirteen second times in the quarter mile, in factory trim, with only minor tuning. My car features factory special-ordered 3.91 gears and the "Twin Grip" limited-slip rear differential. The standard Machine gearing was a 3.54 but, believe it or not, the Machine could have been ordered from the factory with gear ratios as low as 5.00 to 1! This is an early-production car, built in December of 1969. The Rebel Machine was introduced to the public in October, 1969. At approximately that same time, American Motors workers went on strike, leaving many cars sitting, midstream, in various stages of production. The strike ended and they returned to work in December, 1969 and this car was produced that week. Ironically, there is another Rebel Machine here in Ohio, albeit in the opposite corner of the state, that is just a few numbers earlier than this one. It's present owner has owned it since it was nearly new and it was very interesting to see how closely our VIN, body, line sequence and engine tag numbers matched...all being just a few digits earlier on his car than on mine.
