Visiting the 13th century castle Muiderslot at the river Vecht, near Amsterdam. South from Scheveningen the 'West dunes' are situated. We revisited Westduinen, following more or less the same route, on February 18th, 2007. And we visited Westduinen again, a little further South, on July 14th, 2007. Putten, Veluwe

From April 29th to May 6th, we had a very sunny vacation in the little town of Putten, near the large woods of the Netherlands on the Veluwe. Whether it is due to global warming or not, fact is that these days broke all records. It already hadn't rained since March 22nd, breaking all sunshine hours ever for April. And still, during these holidays, no rain whatsoever. So, we had a very nice and warm stay, with only chilly mornings forcing us inside, just for breakfast.
