- Relaxed after 17 weeks post relaxer. but unfortunately, my i did not retain any length because my stylist trimmed it all :( So I guess im picking up from where i started long ago. I decided to only trim twice a year. So every 6 months from this moment on, I will get a trim.

- Basically....I stayed the same length for the whole year of 2010. Every time i got a relaxer (every 12 weeks or so), my stylist would trim my hair back to the point it was at previously. The thing is, I didn't realize this until i compiled all the photos I've taken for the year and compared them. Im so disappointed i let a whole year go by and did not retain any length because of constant trimming. Trimming is good thing, but too much of it could set you back years. The length im at right now, I've been there and done that since 2 years ago in 2008 (at the prime of my hair journey). Im ready to move on to BSL now. I should have been MBL by now..i mean this is year 4 on my journey! Ugh. No more trimming, only 2 trims a year from now on.

- I will be relaxing on November 19th! 1 day after my 4 year healthy hair anniversary! I decided not to transition anymore. Im not ready for it. I want to reach my goals with relaxed hair first and enjoy them for a few years. Then we'll see from there what I want to do.

- I've been gone since September due to my busy shedule...have'nt updated Fotki in a while. I've been over at Hairlista too..its a really great site. Join it if you haven't already. I relaxed my hair @ 12 weeks post relaxer. My cousin did a great job with my hair!! She used Design Essentials Lye relaxer (my first lye relaxer since my journey started 3 yrs ago) and my hair feels wonderful. She also gave me a treatment for 30 minutes and then washed, and blow dried, trimmed and flat ironed. My hair looked amazing! She is my new stylist. I will be relaxing my hair every 3 months.
