- Jan 2011:
I self mini-cut Nov 2010, I won't trim again for at least 6 months. I've gotten a little to scissor happy and obsessed with blunt thick ends. My hair is blunt BSL no more layers.
Aug 2011: I did a blow-out on my entire head, it hot and I'm not really in the mood to flat iron all of it. I flat ironed the nape and did a length check. Then I dusted a little bit off the ends then and did an S&D on the SSK's. I have fresh ends now without sacrificing length. I don't know whether to claim MBL since I'm just grazing I'll wait until I'm actually closer to WL which is my short term goal to reach full WL then full HL-TL then decide to maintain or grow to CL. I'm going to revisit ayurvedic powders cause I had mad growth and thickness using them weekly.
OCT 2011 BEST BRAIDOUT EVER!!! Well here's what I did: 1. CW with AOGPB wrapped with microfiber turbie twist I did this section by section total 12-14 braids all over my head. 2. applied coconut oil 1st on damp hair 3. KCKT and detangle 4. KCCC and braid each section up I let it airdry all afternoon, then put on a loose bonnet for nighttime. in the morning it was 90% dry, some spots got a little fuzzy int he middle they weren't dry yet. but overall much better than my last tries.
OCT 2011 flat iron I clarified w ACV and water, CW with AOHSR put it in 4 sections braids tubie wrpped it up for about an hour to get the wetness out. I then blowdried on damp hair low medium heat. the nest day I used a little coconut oil on the ends and flat ironed section by section. After ironing I did an S&D where I found that I've been neglecting the middle part of my hair below the crown.I'm now Midback length and my hairs growing in layers again and this time I'm leaving it alone. Once I reach goal I'll think about evening things up.
APR 2012 I'm going to flat iron finally I haven't FI my hair since last straight hair updates. I'll upload the curly pics first, I'm finding that at this length I'm liking my Wash and gos better than my braid/twist outs, 1 reason is because I like the spirals and waves and it's because I have more hang time with my natural curl pattern than the braidouts (1-2 inches more all around) You'll see it in the pics. I find it strange since I've always thought braidouts twistouts give you more hangtime, again everyone's hair is different. I'm MBL fast approaching WL I have about 3 inches to claim WL then it's on to whip/HL then decide whether to maintain the mane or continue growing for more length. I trimmed 0.5-1 inch all around using Feye's self trimm method for blunt hemline. I modified it I did 2 sections even, 2 scrunchies at the nape 2 near ends, brought hair in front checked length again, then trimmed. I'm going hard for these 3 inches, I'm still PS-ing, scalp massages with ayurvedic oil bhringaraj and alternating with liquid gold (better smelling than straight MTG) and keeping up my nutrition. I am so WL. - Album was created 1 year 5 months ago and modified 1 month ago

| | Bite me now pay me later-Lucia3k | - Feb 2010 Maxiglide and Trim more
- So I was trying to wait for a trim, but I keep on finding SSK=single strand knots and I could feel them, and I waas loosing extra strands cause of them snagging, every time I co-washed or fingercombed and it was driving me nuts.
So I pre-washed with coconut and olive oil 10 min, cowashed with WEN CC, rinsed all of it out, no leave in. I mixed some beyond the zone, the end and monoi oil and put in through my length. I didn't use alot just a little. I had already pre detangled before letting it air-dry in 8 braids up in a turbie. After Maxigliding, I did Feye's Self Trim method for a deep U-shape, that way I would not loose too much length in the V-tail. So now I have a deep U-shape but I cut off about 2-3 inches in some places.
Since switching to co-washing and WEN my hair feels and looks thicker, and it has a little bit of natural shine to it and it feels so soft and smells really good even after the flat-ironing, no burning hair smell.
My ends feel better but I'm Mid-back now, just above WSL about 1-2 inches above depending on where you're measuring, but I liked that I'm in control of how much hair is taken off, so I didn't go crazy and I got pretty much all the SSK's and a few splits. - Album was created 2 years 3 months ago and modified 1 year 8 months ago

| | Bite me now pay me later-Lucia3k | - Jan 2010 Updates
- (Jan 24, 2010)
- I had my hair a weave install since Sept 09, I did 2 of them actually for 2 months each, but I haven't seen much progress with them. I guess weaving it up won't work at this point in the game for me-my ends don't like installs anymore.
My hair just curls on itself and gets unruly, tangles, and it's harder to moisturize with the install and I do that everyday 2x/day.
I pre-pood with coconut oil and olive oil, washed with Mixed Chicks shampoo (only the scalp with diluted shampoo let the rest run through my length) aphogee protein treatment, henna/indigo, DC with heat cap 20 min Used Beyond Straight, The END, and Sabino Moisture Block = SBM mixed with some Mixed Chicks DC- braided into 10 box braids let dry, then flat ironed with my Maxiglide.
I think I use too much products it was a little heavy, but I was afraid of reversion and heat damage. Next time I'll use less products. I'm still holding @ WSL, I think it's thicker, but the sides are Midback and the front is a little passed APL, I did trim a good amount last mini update in Sept.
Oh those really obvious uneven ends (what the stylists call raggedy) those are my longest hairs and I'm keeping them, no trims yet, not even S&D until next month. I'm going to baby those ends-moisture x 3. I plan to grow to Full Hip length in 2010. - Album was created 2 years 4 months ago and modified 2 years 4 months ago

| | Bite me now pay me later-Lucia3k | - Dec 2009 mini-update
- (Dec 12, 2009)
- stretched and natural hair updates
Even though I stretch it, there's still some hidden length in the puffyness, and there's a little tip of hair behind my fingers. I did a major S & D and 1 -1.5 inch trim max all over. I've got fresh ends for the new year and it's thicker and longer that is until I trimmed it. The BKT took out some of my henna indigo black rinse, my hair's naturally a little lighter, I'm not happy about that, guess I've got to henna again. - Album was created 2 years 5 months ago and modified 2 years 5 months ago
