- One of my locs started to break toward the end. I put out a tearful SOS (yeah, I'm kinda sensitive) to several of my Fotki friends, who warmly shared their advice. One friend suggested just knotting it, which is what I did. Here is the result.

- This month was about determination. I am determined to provide the best care for my locs with my own hands. I still collect business cards and phone numbers of locticians, but I'll wait until I need or want a fancy updo before I take on Loctician #4. In the meantime, I'll be figuring out how I can do even the fancy, flawless updos.

- A little doubt seeped in this month after I encountered a loctitian in a carryout lunch place. She said that I needed a "trim" and that she could get rid of the fuzziness and trim off the variation caused by the little lumps, bumps, and imperfections. I returned from lunch feeling some doubt for the rest of the day. When I slept on it, I realized that I like the thickness and the lumps and bumps. Has anyone else heard of this kind of trim? It was my first time hearing of it.
