- I measured today for the first time in a while and I see my longest section is 7.5 inches! Yay!! So even though I've treated my hair like crap for a while, it's still growing.

I want to go into protective styles for a while, but I'm broke so I can't afford to get my hair braided. So, as always, I'm going to stick with my 2-strand twists.

Any style suggestions?? As it gets longer I don't know what to do with it!! Wash n gos need to go though because detangling has turned into a 30 minute session that I don't like! - Well, I've been bad. I've had a lot going on so I haven't been on in a while. This month is my 1 year nappiversary, but I have nothing to be happy about. For the past maybe 2 months I have not been taking care of my hair. I just wash it daily, as I always did, but I don't use any oil on it anymore. I've also been sleeping without a bonnet/scarf. I've noticed lots of breakage and tangles. Just today I cut off a little more than an inch all around because the ends of my hair were locking. I forget to detangle, so it hasn't been done in about a month and a half. Yes, I've become lazy with my hair. It is now time to nurse it back to health. Tonight, I'm going to deep condition and 2 strand twist like I always did. I'll try to post some before and after pictures. Now I need to go check everyone else's updates!

- Very busy month for me, so not too many updates.
My sister was going to get married Sept 20 in Houston, but due to Ike she couldn't. Since I'm a bridesmaid, I was going to get my hair professionally done. - I'm really considering cutting my hair back down to about .5-1 inch. I want to so badly, but I also look forward to having shoulder length box braids (done with my own hair of course). I'm at a crossroads. I do believe that "it's just hair and it'll grow back" mentality, but I don't want to cut too soon and regret it.

- On Friday, May 30 I fell asleep with conditioner in my hair. Once I rinsed it out on Saturday morning, my ends were extremely dry and brittle. I cowashed daily until June 6. Now my hair is in box braids and I rinse and oil them daily. Still, my ends are dry. It's a little more than 1/2 inch of my ends that are dry. They also won't curl and look like dead relaxed ends. I don't know what happened but I guess I have to cut the ends off now.

As of 6/23 I think my hair has returned back to normal. I cut off less than half an inch of the ends and deep conditioned on 6/20 for 2 hours. My hair is feel nice and soft today! YAY!!!
