What works for me:
-Co-washing
-Using regular conditioner as a leave-in
-Minimizing usage of cones, little to none
-Shampooing w/ an SLS-free poo at least once a week, sometimes twice
-Keeping a good balance between moisture & protein
-Not being a slave to using stylers daily (gels, foaming lotions, etc)
-twist-outs every now and then
I use the Maxi-Glide MP to flat-iron *not shown*

- I colored my hair! I know, I know, I said wouldn't color my hair again, but it was calling me! LOL.
I now make sure to do protein treatments; whereas, during my last bout with color, I wasn't. I know better now!
So far, so good.
I used Texture & Tones Hair Color in Bronze.

- I've been switching up my routine and adding in more twist-outs lately instead of wearing a wash 'n go 24/7. It's like half and half now.
For my straightened hair this go 'round, I used Fantasia IC Heat Protectant with a dab of Marcel Wax on my roots.

- It's been almost a year (shy of 1 week) since my 2nd BC in December of 2007.
I flat-ironed and trimmed my hair. After flat-ironing the first go-round with the Maxi Glide, it got smooth, but my hair still started to frizz. I then realized that I needed to be more heavy-handed with my heat protection products. The next morning, I just added way more product then smoothed over with the Solia.
While relaxed, I'd only need a dab of this, dab of that, but as a natural I need way more than a dab to get this mass of coils to lay down.
I used Chi silk infusion and Aveda Anti-Humectant to get it straight.
It's trial and error, so next time I know what to do.
Oh, and I'm very surprised at the length I've achieved! My hair is very uneven, but I'll get it shaped up another time. - Album was created 3 years 6 months ago and modified 3 years 5 months ago
