New things I am starting to do: 1. Stop using hot water (use luke warm - like baby bottle warm or cool). 2. Purchase another water filter - Hubby broke my last one. - Album was created 2 years 9 months ago and modified 1 year 10 months ago

First off, my apologies for neglecting my fotki family and friends for soooo long... I have no excuses, just been too lazy. Thank you to all of you who have been supporting my youtube channel. And.... A special thank you to all of you who made my grand opening a success.... I never thought I'd get such a response. The Body Kraze is doing very well and I'm only looking forward to increased success with it. Also, my natural hair salon is doing great too! Still creating styles and making my clients happy! Please enjoy my updates..... - Album was created 2 years 9 months ago and modified 2 years 2 months ago

Based on the knowledge I've gained over the past 2 years, I've decided to let some things go and include other things into my regimen....
Not to do: 1. Wet loose hair - causes tangles and leads to breakage 2. Use gels that make hair crunchy - causes knots and tangles and leads to shedding and breakage 3. Put itty-bitty small braids/twist in my hair - Makes detangling sessions horrific and leads to breakage and knots because I'm impatient 4. No more metal clips in my hair - breaks strands when removed
Things to include: 1. Oil my scalp - hair is less dry overall 2. Keep protein/moisture balance 3. Use large braids/twists to stretch and style 4. Apply conditioner on dry hair in large braids, then spray on water for DCs
Okay.... so, I'm starting a new challenge! 1.Wearing protective style 24-7 2. Rinse or cowash daily 3. Apply MN (mon-wed-fri) 4. Baggy (tues-thurs-sat) - also oiling scalp 5. Moisturize daily
I'll be wearing my old trusty wig when I need to go out and look presentable during October...
My hair will remain in a protective style for a 1 month period before I change it up.... Between styles, I will wash w/shampoo, henna, DC, moisturize, seal, and restyle....
By Christmas, I hope to have chin length bangs and be APL in the back.... Haven't decided for sure yet, but I'm thinking about cutting my hair for Christmas.... shortening the back so that my fro has a better shape to it for twists, etc. I have a shag in the back and its getting worse and worse.... We'll see though.
As always, I appreciate the comments and support... Happy hair growing! - Album was created 2 years 9 months ago and modified 2 years 4 months ago

- First of all, thank you fotki family for the continued support throughout our natural hair journeys....
We've finally figured out what products work for our hair! This is the last month of our 2nd year and since we are obtaining more and more length, we are going to adjust our regimen a bit to retain even more length as we continue to grow out!
Also, as we begin our 3rd year, we will not continue with monthly albums. Instead, our albums will be quarterly. We will continue to update our youtube channel as well. We have some great style ideas that we plan to create and we hope to provide how-to videos for them.
