- well March has been a wonderful month for me, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on the 8th of March at 10:15pm......wow God is so good...everything was going wrong in the hospital..... The labour was long and not progressing very well, I was losing a lot of blood, the baby's heart beat was dropping with each contraction, they finally rushed me to theatre for a Cesarean which i was really set against. I was praying with my husband and my mum, and my church family. They put me on the bed ready to sedate me and whatever for the cut then all of a sudden I felt the urge to push and before they could operate on me the baby was out!!!!!! Can i get an Amen?

- I love love love my African attire.......but some of it can look a a bit old womanish and frumpy...... :-( And i've had some bad experiences with tailors who just cant seem to get what i'm describing...... but i've just been looking about for some which are fashionable and stylish online...so that i have pictures as points of reference... and just enjoying looking at such creativity.....my favourite cloth of choice right now is Nigerian Ankara which seems to be quite popular even in the mainstream ......here i've got quite a lot of examples.....Most of them are from African magazines.....blogs and some really good up and coming designers like www.peridotandruby ....... enjoy

| | - Officially launching www.brownroots.co.uk - natural and organic hair and beauty products in the UK
- Since i decided to be fully natural, I always considered using natural (chemical free) products as well as i figured that it just made sense. It is a bit ironic that we are all pretty gung ho about stopping using chemical processors in our hair, but we still buy virtually nutritionless and potentially harmful chemical filled products at our local hair shops. I realised that in the UK there are not a lot of natural and organic hair and beauty suppliers directly aimed at the ethnic minority market, so i turned stateside for inspiration and found that as with most things they are well ahead of us brits. I really enjoyed the products I purchased and I wanted to open up this experience to others who may be apprehensive about ordering goods online from abroad, the cost factor, and then the waiting for the shipping factor etc. My website should be up and running by the end of December 2008 but in the meantime i have lots of stuff you can buy already by giving me a call on 07533879061 or emailing me at blaque_beau_tee@yahoo.co.uk where I can email you a full price list........in the mean time here are some pics and descriptions on what i've got.
