- my babies are really starting to come into their own...i've been washing myself and spritzing/moisturizing with good old h2o and almond oil. and they are growing! yay!

- after 8 weeks of starter locs, my loctitian (a goddess named Azizza) told me that my hair has loced!!! woo hoo! i was so excited to get my first wash after 2 months - she had been doing a scalp cleanse every 2 weeks, which wasn't as painful as it sounds. the time actually went pretty fast. after my wash i could tell the difference in texture and fullness. and the buds, oh the buds are delicious! i am soooo in love with my little buddies....

- so i decided to start locs...ever since i went natural this was my ultimate goal. i am to the point where i love and appreciate my natural hair, i've tried a variety of loose styles and i am comfortable with my hair in it's natural/naptural state. i'm ready for something different. i knew i was ready when i went to the nat'l NSBE conference and spent 1/2 of the time drooling over all the locs i saw! so, i found one of cleveland's only loctitians and made an appointment. i am starting with comb coils, which resulted in a lot of shrinkage, but i am already liking the look. i enjoyed my twa, so i don't mind the shrinkage. i am just so excited and anxious for the journey. please comment and check back soon - i'm sure i'll have plenty of pictures to come! peace & blessings!
