- what?! shiraz did a big chop??
i would have never thought i would go from a big ass fro to teeny one, but i just had to. after a stressful year that resulted in a lot of disappointments (including hair loss), i had to start new. the beginning of the summer was the time for this "fresh new page," and i started with my hair. i looked at myself in the mirror, grabbed some scissors and started chopping. i, of course, thought about doing this for a while after i noticed a lot of hair loss at the back of my head. the hair loss was due to a lot of things, including playing with my hair, my evil metal pick, not taking my vitamins, and just generally neglecting my health. cutting my hair allowed for me to regain what i once had. not only have i been much more aware of what i do to my head, but i've been aware of everything else around me. despite everything i've learned these past five or six years, i still have a long way to go. so this new hair-do will help me throughout this journey called life. corny, i know!! but it's true :) - Album was created 2 years 10 months ago and modified 2 years 10 months ago

- Hey all,
I decided to make a new Henna tutorial for you guys. I've found better results with this new method of hennaing my hair, even though it's not too different from what I did in the other one. These instructions are a bit more straightforward, so hopefully they will be of help if you are interested in using henna!
Just a little FYI on henna:
Henna is a natural plant dye and skin tattoo that does a great job conditioning and subtly coloring the hair a natural-looking reddish/orangish/brown tone. On black hair, it is most noticeable in the sunlight.
