| | What's new on CL -- Feb 15 UPDATES!!! COME SEE's "Photo Albums" pages Recently created and updated albums: | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - All the months I missed thru May 20, 2010
- Well, I had oodles and oodles of pics, and somehow I got a virus on my blackberry so guess what, I LOST THEM ALL!!! These are the pics I uploaded prior to the catastrophe.
I'm much more comfortable with my hair and my shrinkage that I have ever been. I can actually go with the flow, deal with some frizziness and fuzziness and it doesn't bother me if it's not "perfect". I'm extremely laid back with my hair now. Don't get me wrong, I moisturize and seal and wash and condition, but I am definitely not a product junky by any means. Cheap shampoo (very rarely used) Most of the time I mix about a teaspoon of baking soda with warm water and massage into my scalp. I use $1 conditioner with a lil olive or canola oil mixed in. I moisturize with Epiphany Frostings, and if I'm in twists, I seal with plain ole $1 grease (just on the ends) - Album was created 2 years ago and modified 2 years ago

| | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - November, December, January, February
- Hi guys!!! > It's been a while since I updated! Life kinda got in the way I guess. As of this month, I've been natural for 2 1/2 years. You know I BC'd again August '09. This part of the journey has been so much easier than the first. I'm dealing with the in-between stage right now, but I've got the sneaking feeling I can handle it ;) I guess I have a regimine now, I'm not really sure. I've been living in twists for at least the last 2 1/2 months. I have not been rinsing each day b/c it's just been too cold. I've been washing once a week or when I'm being lazy, every other weekend. I've also been twisting my hair wet. It lays better that way now since it's so short.
I washed with baking soda & cheapie conditioner, moisturized with Epiphany Frostings, sealed with castor/olive oil mix. I only detangle with my fingers (it takes about 10 minutes) and twist while it's soaking wet. Depending on how I feel at the moment, I may wear my twists for about 10 days then wear twistout (uncovered at night w/satin pillowcase) until the next wash. I steam my hair in the shower every morning and evening. I don't use any additional products between washings.
I used no product for my w&g's. - Album was created 2 years 4 months ago and modified 2 years 3 months ago

| | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - October 2009
- My hair regimine hasn't changed much. Still using the same products. U know I cut my hair after my surgery, and well, on impulse, I cut my hair even shorter on Oct 11. I guess I just needed something new. I love it. Don't know whether I will start regrowing it now or just keep it this way for a while. Stay tuned, I might decide to go even shorter! Who knows :)

| | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - September 2009
- I have been so lax about taking pictures, posting shots and commenting. Please forgive me. Busy with work, the company's doing fabulously (I can't complain), and I'm feeling mighty fine.
My hair is starting to grow back. I don't know if I want it to grow, or keep it short, or just go into protective style mode. I'm not really in a rut, just kinda confused as to what I need to do with it.
I don't really have a hair regimine still. I normally rinse each & every morning & maybe at night depending on how itchy or sweaty my scalp is. - Album was created 2 years 8 months ago and modified 2 years 8 months ago

| | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - August 2009
- First of all, I want to thank each and every one that stopped by my fotki home, called, sent a message or a prayer. I appreciate you guys!
Hey people! Seems like it's been forever since I've been here, since I've updated. K, well let me tell u bout the going ons...
I had surgery August 11. A total hysterectomy. I'm empty, sterile, menopausal, and I love it! I had a fibroid the size of a 4 month fetus, endometriosis and cysts on my ovaries. I was in constant pain. Now, I feel like a new woman. I went back to work 2 weeks later on August 26 cuz I just couldn't sit on my behind much longer, but I'm still taking it easy.
days after the surgery, my hair started falling out & breaking off in clumps. This has happened before after my cesearean section. I think it's the anesthesia. Anywhoo, I had no idea that my hair stretched was right at 12 inches in the back, now it's shaved & I'm starting over. I didn't want to but I had too and well, I'm starting to like it little by little.
I was engaged, you all know that, but that is no longer. It's been about 2 months now. I guess everyone isn't meant to be in your life forever. He was a seasonal sweetheart, but I've gained a lifetime friend. NEXT!!!

| | U know the drill... Ask, don't steal! | - End of June & July 2009
- July is my birth month! Yaaaayyy! I'll be 31 years young this year! I am so thankful and so blessed to see it this far.
I've been natural for almost 2 full years. This is my 23rd month. I can't say that I have loved every minute, but I've enjoyed it and I don't ever want to look back on the processed days. I'm more in tune with myself versus before August 07. I'm more conscious of what I put on my body as well as in my body. I can't say I've gone totally natural with products, but I do what I can. I shampoo & condition my hair once a week. After conditioning, I apply either olive, castor, or vatika oil to soaking wet hair. I had been using an activator afterwards, but I don't like the stickiness, so that's been stopped. I use aloe vera gel when I have that, but since I've run out, I twist with no product. I use indian hemp grease on the ends of my hair & I rinse and/or steam my hair every morning in the shower. I don't really use a bonnet or scarf at night, most of the time I just slide around on my satin pillowcase. I have a lot of tangling, but it only takes about 15 or 20 minutes of finger combing with my hair full of conditioner to fix that issue. I trim as needed and I haven't used heat in years (even as a permie!).
If there's anyway I can help anyone, please let me know. Just leave a msg in my guestbook and I'll respond asap!
