- Hi Everyone.
Im back in January with hair news and updates.
First we'll rewind to November 2011 where I decided to get my hair straightened. I must admit that I had become a lazy natural. I wasnt moisturing and doing dc's like i should have. Big mistake. My favorite stylist used this "new hair sytem" that apparently a lot of naturals were using. She said my hair would turn right back kinky after a wash. Well needless to say I suffered heat damage that i was very upset about. I ended up cutting about 1.25 to 1.5 inches off in most places. :(
I've decided 2012 will be my year of new changes for my hair. Ive learned a lot from lhcf and youtube. Ive already gained back a lot of my lost length. Im focusing on healthy hair, dc's, moisturizing and sealing, and retaining my length. between bra strap and midback is where I would like to be this year. - These are pictures taken in July 2011. My transition in winding down. I initially planned on an 18 month transition but will continue on until 24 months. I am currently 22 months.I tried to do another twistout,( you all know my fave style is the braidout, but I wanted to do something new.)and tried a new product line :) I will adding an update to my product folder as well. Hope you guys enjoy the updates

- I have not been posting as often as i would have liked.I am focusing on my weight loss. (currently 46 lbs gone). I hate that i cant be 100% about both weight loss and hair. But I am going strong with my transition. The end of June will be 22 months since my last relaxer. I really had no intention of transitioning this long but I am glad to have a decent length when i chop my last bit of ends.

- I finally figured out how to do comparision pics. I just stumbled upon it basically and kept messing around with it until I figured it out. Hope you all like them. Many more to come. I love doing comparision shots. I am so glad that I took pics during those early months, so that I can keep up with progress/growth.

- The end of December will be 16 months post relaxer. I am very tired of transitioning :( but I will not be able to pull off having short hair, so I need to go on for as long as I can. I get more and more excited as the months go on. 18 months is the goal, I hope I make it because I have been trimming my hair like crazy lately!!!
