| | | - LF and Lowfer Reception
- For the last nine years, I've really enjoyed trying to receive those weak, elusive, LowFer signals down below 200 KHz. There's nothing like sitting down in the dimmly lit shack on a cold Winters night watching QRSS dit's & dah's slowly scroll across the screen. It's a throwback to the days of being hunched over an old Hallicrafters SX-43 trying to coax that feeble shortwave station out from under the band noise.

| | | - Ilsa's Retirement at the Officers Club - 1999
- It's been awhile since I took these pictures. I really don't remember Ilsa's last name or am even sure that I spelled her first name correctly. If anyone can give me any information on her, please do so and I will correct this.

| | | - SEALOG get together at Red Lobster - 1999
- I believe that this was taken at the Red Lobster in November of 1999. Does anyone remember exactly what it was? This was also taken back in the days when Digital cameras were in their infancy so the pictures are somewhat grainy.

| | | - C&O Canal Association - Geology Hike 16 Nov 2008
- Meet at 11:00am underneath the route 15 bridge. The walk should last no more than three hours - bring comfortable walking shoes and clothing along with snacks and beverages. If the weather calls for rain, the event will be pushed to the next day; Sunday, November 16th at the same time (this happened).
We will walk over to Calico Rock, and then we will walk to the overlook above the Point-of-Rocks RR Tunnel to get a closer look at the Catoctin Formation and the view of the Potomac River valley. If we have enough time we will walk along the towpath up to the Catoctin RR Tunnel at milepost 50 to view another spectacular rock formation. | | | - SEALOG Trip to the USS Iowa
- In either 1981 or 1982, SEALOG sponsored a trip to the USS Iowa. During this trip, I took over 50 pictures. About 12 years ago I gave some of the pictures to ASNE. The remainder I misplaced ... I thought that they were gone forever. Recently while cleaning out our attic, I came across an old yellow box chock full of photographic negatives. What you see here are part of them. These have been sitting in an unfriendly environment for over 22 years with temperatures ranging from 125 degrees in the Summer down to the single digits in the Winter. All in all however, they survived fairly well. Check out some of your fellow employees from the distant past!
